Fugro ROVs support deepwater Uruguay exploration well

Fugro is assisting Total’s drilling campaign offshore Uruguay, providing ROV and tooling services for the Raya-1 well in 3,400 m (11,155 ft) water depth.

LEIDSCHENDAM, the NetherlandsFugro is assisting Total’s drilling campaign offshore Uruguay, providing ROV and tooling services for the Raya-1 well in 3,400 m (11,155 ft) water depth.

The contractor is supplying two 200-hp FCV 4000D work-class ROV systems and subsea tooling, installed on board the drillshipMaersk Venturer, and a field support vessel.

In addition, Fugro is performing activities such as bullseye checks, a seabed survey, and general cleaning on and around the subsea BOP.

Real-time video provided by Fugro and Total telecom network allows Total to observe operations from its onshore office, if needed.
