US offshore rig count remains unchanged

The overall US offshore drilling rig count remained unchanged at 19 over the past week, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of July 8, 2016.

HOUSTON – The overall US offshore drilling rig count remained unchanged at 19 over the past week, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of July 8, 2016. That number is down by 12 compared to last year.

TheUS Gulf of Mexico rig count also remained steady at 18 over the past week, according to the report. That number is down by 13 compared to last year.

The overall US rig count, onshore and offshore, was up by nine week-over-week at 440, with oil rigs up by 10 at 351, gas rigs down by one to 88, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at one.

Compared to this time last year, the overall US rig count is down 423 rigs, with oil rigs down 294, gas rigs down 129, and miscellaneous rigs holding steady at one.
