US Gulf of Mexico rig count up by one to 19

The US Gulf of Mexico rig count increased by one to 19 over the past week, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of July 29, 2016.

HOUSTON – The US Gulf of Mexico rig count increased by one to 19 over the past week, according to the Baker Hughes Weekly Rig Count of July 29, 2016. That number is down by 15 year-over-year.

The overall US offshore drilling rig count mirrored the US GoM rig count, which was also up by one to 19, and down by 15 year-over-year.

The overall US rig count, onshore and offshore, was up by one week-over-week at 463, with oil rigs up by three to 374, gas rigs down by two to 86, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at three.

Compared to this time last year, the overall US rig count is down by 411 rigs, with oil rigs down by 290, gas rigs down 123, and miscellaneous rigs up by two.
