KrisEnergy commissions 3D seismic survey over offshore Thailand license

The CGG Amadeus has started a 41-day, 884-sq km (341-sq mi) 3D seismic acquisition program for KrisEnergy in the G10/48 contract area in the Gulf of Thailand.

SINGAPORE – The CGG Amadeus has started a 41-day, 884-sq km (341-sq mi) 3D seismic acquisition program for KrisEnergy in the G10/48 contract area in the Gulf of Thailand.

This will cover two sub-areas of the G10/48 license, northwest and southwest of theWassana oil field and around 3-38 km (1.86-23.6 mi) from the Wassana mobile offshore production unit.

On completion, the seismic data will be integrated with existing data over most of the identified prospective areas of the block, which also contains the Niramai, Mayura, and Rayrai oil accumulations.

G10/48 spans 1,783 sq km (688 sq mi) over two discreet areas on the southern margin of the Pattani basin in water depths up to 60 m (197 ft).KrisEnergy has an 89% operated interest, in partnership with Palang Sophon.
