Sea Trucks to support Malikai preparations offshore Sabah

Sabah Shell has contracted Sea Trucks Group to provide flotel services for the Malikai deepwater development, 100 km (62 mi) offshore Sabah, Malaysia.

ROTTERDAM, the NetherlandsSabah Shell has contracted Sea Trucks Group to provide flotel services for the Malikai deepwater development, 100 km (62 mi) offshore Sabah, Malaysia, in 500 m (1,640 ft) water depth.

The field’s newbuildTLP is in the block G PSC area in the South China Sea.

Sea Trucks will provide accommodation support services for 200 construction personnel over two months, with options to extend, from theJascon 34, a DP-3 accommodation/pipelay construction vessel.

This has accommodation for up to 335 crew members. It will be connected to the TLP via its active heave compensated telescopic gangway.

Offshore activities are expected to begin soon.
