LONDONPetrofac says work on the $500-million Satah Al Razboot (SARB) package 3 project offshore Abu Dhabi is around 90% complete.

Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Co. (ADMA-OPCO) is developing the SARB oil field, 120 km (75 mi) off the northwest coast of Abu Dhabi, and around 20 km (12 mi) southeast of Zirku Island, which accommodates the facilities of another offshore oil company, Zakum Development Co. (ZADCO).

In January 2013, ADMA-OPCO awarded Petrofac an EPCI contract for SARB 3 concerning the offshore facilities.

The main scope of work covered drilling utilities and accommodation facilities on two artificial islands, four flare platforms, two riser platforms, associated bridges, and one single point mooring.

In addition, Petrofac is providing 200 km (124 mi) of well fluid, gas injection, water injection, oil offloading and flare pipelines, 55 km (34 mi) of subsea composite cables, and installation of free issue Umm Lulu 20-in. pipeline from Zirku Island to the nearest artificial island, SARB South.

Various yards across the UAE are working on the construction activities.
