ADNOC recognizes ZADCO drilling waste standards

TWMA has won the Company & Contractor Partnership Award at this year’s ADNOC HSE Awards, in partnership with Abu Dhabi-based petroleum services company ESNAAD-PJS.

ABU DHABI, UAE – Drilling waste management and environmental services specialist TWMA has won the Company & Contractor Partnership Award at this year’s ADNOC HSE Awards, in partnership with Abu Dhabi-based petroleum services company ESNAAD-PJS.

The award is in recognition of the HSE performance of integrated drilling waste management services on all four of theZADCO artificial islands offshore Abu Dhabi.

TWMA’s general manager Abu Dhabi, Robbie Pond, said: “The aim of this project was to commission and operate an advanced solids control and fluid recovery system to handle and treat drill cuttings on the ZADCO artificial islands, which was the first of its kind in the UAE.”

In the UK North Sea,TWMA has a 90-day contract from Zennor Pathway that includes provision of skip and ship services on the SEDCO 704 semisubmersible drilling rig.

Another ongoing project, for LR Senergy on theDeep Sea Stavanger vessel, has a 70-day contract.

In both cases TWMA is deploying its EfficientC collection and distribution system to relocate drill cuttings and associated drilling wastes into bins. The bins are then transferred to the company’s onshore processing facility for treatment, reuse, or disposal.
