Forum Subsea Rentals orders acoustic positioning systems from Sonardyne

Forum Subsea Rentals has placed a multi-million-dollar equipment order with subsea technology provider, Sonardyne International.

HOUSTONForum Subsea Rentals, a subsidiary of Forum Energy Technologies Inc., has placed a multi-million-dollar equipment order with subsea technology provider, Sonardyne International.

Some of the equipment ordered will deployed within Forum’s global rental pool, however the majority is committed to secured field development projects inWest Africa and North Africa.

Included in the order are multiple Ranger 2 GyroUSBL acoustic positioning systems which combine the company’s 6G acoustic positioning transceiver technology and a Lodestar AHRS sensor in the same mechanical assembly.
