RIO DE JANEIROPetrobras and Brazil’s National Petroleum Agency (ANP) have agreed to an extension of the concession contracts for the offshore Marlim and Voador fields until 2052.

The aim is to ensure maximum exploitation of the existing reserves via revitalization projects on the fields involving installation of two new platforms, expanded water injection and fluid processing capacity, and drilling of 10 new wells.

In March, the Marlim and Voador fields produced a combined 150,000 b/d of oil and 2 MMcm/d (70 MMcf/d) of gas.
