South Koreans discuss Iranian R&D cooperation

TEHRAN, Iran – South Korean research institutes were in Iran last week visiting the country’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI).

Representatives from Oceanus and Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (Kitech) discussed cooperation opportunities following the relaxation of sanctions against Iran, according to news service Shana.

Oceanus, which has more than 300 employees and branch offices in theMiddle East and South America, provides engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and testing and commissioning services for a variety of oil and gas projects.

Kitech is a government research institute, formed in 1989 to help develop technologies for the domestic industry, with a focus on export competitiveness and SMEs.

Recently, RIPI has also hosted of delegations from France and South Africa.
