MEXICO CITY–Perforadora Oro Negro and PEMEX Exploración y Producción have signed an amendment to an outstanding charter lease for one of Oro Negro’s jackups.
The 2014-buildDecus,rated to work in water depths of 30 ft to 400 ft (9.1 m to 122 m) is one of the Mexican company’s fleet of eight jackups. It was constructed by Sembcorp Marine subsidiary PPL Shipyard, and is of the Pacific Class 400 design.
The amendment is effective as of Oct. 26, 2015 and provides a one-year extension of the term of the contract.
