LONDON – Impact Oil & Gas has identified signs of prospectivity in the AGC Profond block offshore Guinea Bissau/Senegal.
This follows analysis oflegacy seismic data acquired in November 2014. The Cheval Marin and Croix du Sud surveys provided around 4,100 sq km (1,583 sq mi) of 3D data and a further 4,100 line km (2,547 mi) of 2D seismic.
Prospectivity is apparent at various stratigraphic levels from the Cretaceous deepwater clastics play to the Jurassic and Cretaceous platform margin plays, as demonstrated by Cairn’s deepwater oil discoveries to the north offshore Senegal.
