TEESIDE, UK –TI Geosciences has completed a digital upgrade of its Roson cone penetration tester based on installing a pressure compensated lcone system by A.P. Van den Berg.
The system was tested at TIGeo's marine base and can operate in water depths to 750 m (2,460 ft).
The deep push (40 m/131 ft below the mudline/) system is expected to reach water depths of 2,000 m (6,561 ft) upon completion by Royal IHC of a redesigned and upgraded launch and recovery system.
