LYSAKER, Norway – Kvaerner says construction is progressing on the gravity-based structure (GBS) for the Hebron field development offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.
Following last fall’s slip form operation, mechanical outfitting activities are continuing in the storage cells and center shaft at the Bull Arm deepwater fabrication site.
In addition, solid ballast operations are under way. Later this year, the pour of the roof slab should take place on the top of the storage cells.
