Fjords wins North Sea Johan Sverdrup process package

Statoil has awarded Fjords Processing (ex-Aker Process Systems) three contracts for processing equipment for the Johan Sverdrup field in the central Norwegian North Sea.

FORNEBU, Norway – Statoil has awarded Fjords Processing (ex-Aker Process Systems) three contracts for processing equipment for the Johan Sverdrup field in the central Norwegian North Sea.

The workscope comprises concept development studies, design, engineering, and fabrication of an oil separation package, comprising seven separators; a gas dehydration system including the triethylene glycol (TEG) regeneration facility; and electrostatic coalescers to remove water from oil.

Fjords subsidiary Midsund Bruk will manufacture the separator package and the coalescers, with deliveries due to be completed by end-2016.
