Offshore staff
WASHINGTON, D.C.– The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management will offer approximately 21.9 million acres in the Western Gulf of Mexico Lease Sale 246, to be held in New Orleans on Aug. 19, 2015.
Areas on offer are offshore Texas and include all available unleased areas in the Western Gulf of Mexico Planning Area.
Sale terms include stipulations to protect biologically sensitive resources, mitigate potential adverse effects on protected species, and avoid potential conflicts associated with oil and gas development in the region.
The Notice of Availability of the Final Notice of Sale is available today for inspection in the Federal Register at:http://www.federalregister.gov/public-inspection.
