ACE lifting tools to support Jangkrik intervention program

ENI Indonesia has awarded ACE Winches a £1-million ($1.55-million) contract for the Jangkrik Muara Bakau project offshore Indonesia.

ABERDEEN, UKENI Indonesia has awarded ACE Winches a £1-million ($1.55-million) contract for the Jangkrik Muara Bakau project offshore Indonesia.

ACE’s hire equipment division will support well intervention and subsea wellhead deployment activities.

Currently the company is delivering to Paxocean Shipyard in Singapore a mooring spread of 10 large winches, power units, and associated mooring accessories. These will allow German contractor SAL Offshore to anchor its flagshipMV Svenjain the Cook Inlet offshore Alaska. 

In May, ACE supplied 150-metric ton (165-ton) electrically driven and PLC-controlled stinger winches to Keppel Singmarine.

The equipment will be deployed onboard McDermott’s heavy-lift/pipelay vesselDLV2000.

Last month, the company supplied Heerema Marine Contractors with three large chain mooring systems for operations onboard the deepwater construction vesselAegir to support INPEX’s Ichthys LNG project, 220 km (137 mi) offshore Western Australia.

The winches will deploy and tension 178-mm chain.
