Russian majors sign Caspian gas accord

Gazprom has signed a contract under which Lukoil will supply gas from its fields in the northern Caspian Sea until 2024.

ST PETERSBURG, RussiaGazprom has signed a contract under which Lukoil will supply gas from its fields in the northern Caspian Sea until 2024.

Supplies will enter Gazprom’s gas transmission system (GTS) near the town of Budyonnovsk. The annual volume will be determined partly on the basis of available capacities, and also on commissioning of facilities for the offshore fields.

Currently the two companies are also cooperating with Kazakh partners in exploration and development of theTsentralnoye oil, gas, and condensate field in the Caspian Sea.
