KRISTIANSAND, Norway – Siem Offshore's platform supply vessel Siem Pilotrescued more than 600 migrants from two wooden boats in the Mediterranean earlier this week.
This was thePilot's first such rescue since joining the European Union Operation Triton under contract with Norway.
The Norwegian National Criminal Investigation Service said there were no casualties or serious injuries among those rescued.
