HOUSTON– The Mexico Campeche-Yucatan 2D regional seismic survey has started. Spectrum, in collaboration with Schlumberger has begun the 12,200-km (7,581-mi) Phase 1 of the full 44,000-km (27,340-mi) Gulf of Mexico program.
The survey will cover areas from the Campeche Escarpment, including ties to Round 1 blocks, the Yucatan shelf, and deepwater.
Fasttrack products should start coming in July, with final products out in November.
The survey also will tie into Spectrum’s BigWave program in the US eastern GoM.
