ADELAIDE, Australia –The Cooper Energy/Santos Ltd. VIC/RL3 joint venture has entered the front-end engineering and design phase of the Sole gas project offshore Australia.
The joint venture plans to make a final investment decision in 3Q 2016 following completion of the FEED.
The Sole field is 65 km (40 mi) from the onshore Orbost Gas Plant and 35 km (22 mi) from Cooper Energy’s BMG gas and liquids resource.
The Sole gas project is expected to comprise a single vertical subsea well and pipeline to the Orbost plant which is connected to the Eastern Gas pipeline.
