Delta SubSea secures newbuild support vessel

Delta SubSea, LLC has entered into an agreement with Olympic Shipping AS for the Olympic Delta, a newly built multi-purpose subsea support and construction vessel.

MONTGOMERY, Texas – Delta SubSea, LLC has entered into an agreement with Olympic Shipping AS for the Olympic Delta, a newly built multi-purpose subsea support and construction vessel. Olympic Deltais a certified green vessel designed according to DNV class.

The vessel is equipped with two Delta SubSea Schilling HD 150 HP work-class ROVs.

The 94-m (208-ft) longOlympic Deltahas a maximum speed of 13 knots and is equipped with an 80-ton (72-metric ton) active heave compensation crane with 2,000 m (6,561 ft) of wire. The vessel also comes equipped with 3 bow thrusters designed for working in high currents and a 6 m by 6 m (19 ft by 19 ft) moonpool for construction work.

TheOlympic Deltahasone ROV hangerdeck area and two WROV LARS located on the starboard and port sides of the vessel. The vessel is equipped with Kongsberg K-Master DP control and navigation equipment and has 52 staterooms for 80 POB.
