BAD BENTHEIM, Germany – Nobel Oil has commissioned Bentec to build a drilling rig for offshore operations in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea.
The offshore drilling package will include Bentec’s recently introduced 750-ton top drive and 3,000-hp drawworks.
The rig will be installed on an existing platform in early 2016, three years after the company sold its first 500-ton top drive to a Caspian Sea operator.
