WorleyParsons to address Equatorial Guinea block R FEED scope

Ophir Energy has contracted WorleyParsons to provide engineering and project management services for the offshore Equatorial Guinea block R Fortuna gas development.

NORTH SYDNEY, AustraliaOphir Energy has contracted WorleyParsons to provide engineering and project management services for the offshore Equatorial Guinea block R Fortuna gas development.

Additionally, Ophir Holdings awarded the same contractor a master services agreement to provide engineering support to any of its assets worldwide.

Block R, 140 km (87 mi) southwest of Bioko Island, covers an area of 2,450 sq km (946 sq mi) in water depths ranging from 1,400-1,900 m (4,593-6,233 ft).

Ophir and its partners plan a phased installation of a 20-well subsea production system supplying dry gas to a locally moored FLNG facility with a capacity of 3 MMt/a.

WorleyParsons and its deepwater division, INTECSEA, will oversee the front-end engineering and design scopes and tendering and evaluation of related engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning packages.
