DARLINGTON, UK – Subsea Innovation has refurbished a launch and recovery system (LARS) for an unnamed offshore oil and gas contractor.
This involved a complete strip down of system, built in 1999, at the company’s new manufacturing facility in northeast England.
The work scope included detailed inspection, manufacture of new components, non-destructive testing and structural repair, shot blasting and painting, and extensive load testing.
The refurbished LARS will be used to deploy ROVS on global assignments.
