HOUSTON - Ikon Science has entered into an agreement for the commercial Licensing of CoViz Lite to create a new RokDoc visualization system.

CoViz Lite is an add-on 3D visualization system for RokDoc featuring select capabilities derived from the original CoViz 4D software. Ikon Science says its RokDoc GeoPrediction platform for rock physics, seismic reservoir characterization, geopressure and 3D geomechanics will be enhanced by the inclusion of this visualization capability.

The ability to view the complex rock and fluid property maps and data volumes resulting from RokDoc’s integrated workflows in 3D will help geologists and engineers understand and analyze reservoirs and plan wells. The new Ji-Fi facies-driven impedance inversion process will gain full benefit from the rich data representation toolset available in CoViz Lite.

The combination of RokDoc and CoViz Lite is undergoing testing prior to the combined system’s commercial launch later this year. A demonstration of the joint product will be on display at numerous international and regional trade events during 2Q, notably the CSEG, EAGE, SEAPEX, APPEA, and AAPG shows.
