SINGAPORE – Gardline CGG has completed a 2D infill seismic survey for Geoscience Australia in the Gippsland basin.

The versatility of the vessel used,Duke, allowed collection of additional datasets such as multi-beam bathymetry, water column data, seabed backscatter, and sub-bottom profiling data.

The combination of these additional dataset and conventional 2D seismic is aimed at a better understanding of processes in the area.

TheGippsland 2D infill survey is part of the National CO2 Infrastructure Plan to aid in the identification of potential sites suitable for the long-term storage of CO2 in Australia.
