Eurasia Drilling Co. (EDC) has issued a review of highlights from its drilling campaigns in the Caspian Sea during 2014.

MOSCOWEurasia Drilling Co. (EDC) has issued a review of highlights from its drilling campaigns in the Caspian Sea during 2014.

The company’sAstra jackup completed two exploration wells for Lukoil and one exploration well for KNK in the Russian and Kazakh sectors.

EDC’sSaturn jackup continued operations for Petronas in the Turkmen sector, drilling four geological side tracks.

The newbuildNeptune jackup started operating for Dragon Oil in Turkmen waters, drilling and completing four wells. EDC’s fourth newbuild jackup, Mercury, was completed with all required equipment and was undergoing commissioning at year end.

Additionally, the contractor drilled and completed three wells on Lukoil’s Yuri Korchagin field platform in the Russian sector, including two extended-reach horizontal development wells, and started drilling another.
