DUBAI, UAE – Drydocks World has completed refurbishment of the offshore drilling rig Beynouna ahead of schedule for Abu Dhabi’s National Drilling Co. (NDC).
The shipyard performed a variety of tasks including drydocking, hull treatment, cleaning of seawater lines, crane repairs, high-pressure piping, and accommodation repairs.
It applied 40 tons of steel to 21 various tanks, with the pipe shop renewing all the rig’s sea water pipes in seven days.
Drydocks World’s rig division and NDC worked as an integrated team on the project.
