GREAT YARMOUTH, UK– Shell has named ASCO Group to manage the operations and maintenance logistics and supply base in Australia for Shell’s Prelude FLNG project in the Browse basin.
The Prelude project’s Darwin Onshore Supply Base is in the East Arm Logistics Precinct opposite ASCO’s own logistics center, and 2 km (1.2 mi) from the ASCO managed Marine Supply Base at Darwin Port from where equipment and supplies will be loaded onto vessels for the trip toPrelude.
The Prelude Onshore Supply Base comprises 6,500 sq m (69,965 sq ft) of warehouse, 1,500 sq m (16,145 sq ft) of which is climate-controlled; 3 hectares (7.4 acres) of work and storage yards; and office facilities to support base operations.
