ABERDEEN, UK – Peak Well Systems has completed work on its new gas pressure testing facility in Aberdeen for its well plug system.
The site will perform ISO14310 validation testing of Peak products up to the highest V0-Grade (zero gas leak). In addition, it is equipped to conduct tests at temperatures up to 200ºC (392ºF) and pressures of up to 15,000 psi (1,034 bar) for prolonged periods in simulated gas wells.
Its test bay can accommodate test fixtures up to 30 ft (9.1 m) long and 9⅝-in. diameter, and can be used to perform remote monitoring and measurement of digital test data using a 16-channel recording system.
Last year, Peak openedtest facilities in Perth, Australia, where the company has undertaken testing of its SIMPLUS range of V3-Grade ISO14310 retrievable bridge plugs, subsequently verified and certified by Det Norske Veritas.
These plugs are designed for well barrier applications in monobore wells, creating according to the company, a reliable and high performance downhole seal at any point in the well.
