NEW ORLEANS –TE Connectivity (NYSE:TEL) plans to show its most recent subsea optical connections at the Subsea Tieback Forum and Exhibition.
The Hydralight optical subsea mateable connectors will be featured in the demonstration.
TE Connectivity says the Hydralight connector is an eight-channel, fully underwater mateable, oil-filled, and pressure-balanced connector qualified to 7,000 m (22,965 ft). This connector has a design life of 30 years and a minimum of 100 mate/de-mates and meets “Optical Wet-Mate Connector Specifications” for Norsk Hydro, Statoil, Elf Exploration, Total, Hess, and BP.
TE Connectivity is exhibiting at booth #803.
