BERGEN, Norway – Aibel has awarded Odfjell Drilling the drilling engineering sub-contract for the Johan Sverdrup drilling platform topsides in the Norwegian North Sea.
The $13.67-million contract, which runs until 2018, will involve around 50 engineers. In addition to Odfjell, National Oilwell and Nymo will participate in building of the platform deck.
Handover of the finished platform topsides is expected to take place in spring 2018.
Johan Sverdrup is being developed with four platforms and three subsea templates for injection.
