LONDON –Lloyd’s Register Energy is increasing its structural engineering capabilities to support exploration in Trinidad and Tobago.

Steve Masson, Asset Integrity Services operations manager at Lloyd’s Register Energy for Trinidad and Tobago, said: “Asset integrity management is fast becoming a requirement in Trinidad and Tobago, as companies working in upstream, midstream, and downstream are realizing the benefits of a proactive approach to risk reduction strategies and ensuring engineering integrity as a whole. They’re actively looking for ways to extend the life of their assets safely and cost effectively.”

The company is increasing its asset management capacity for sectors including pipeline integrity management, pressure systems integrity, Turn-A-Round support, and corrosion engineering support. In addition, its technical engineering expertise is being expanded to cover fitness for service, root cause failure analysis,risk-based inspection, and NACE/API inspections.
