UTEC to provide survey services for Total’s Moho Nord project offshore Congo

UTEC has won a contract to supply survey services to the Technip Moho Nord project for Total E&P Congo.

ABERDEEN, UK –UTEC has won a contract to supply survey services to the TechnipMoho Nord project for Total E&P Congo.

The contract covers all survey services for multiple vessel assets during the installation of:

  • 230 km (143 mi) of rigid pipelines
  • 23 km (14 mi) of flexible pipes
  • 50 km (31 mi) of umbilicals
  • 50 subsea structures as well as various other structures and rigid jumpers.

The offshore campaign will be spread over 2015 and 2016, with the primary installation vessels being theG1200, a rigid pipe s-lay and heavy-lift construction vessel, and the Deep Pioneer, a multi-purpose deepwater vessel.

UTEC said the project will see the installation of a subsea positioning network of more than 100 acoustic transponders allowing positioning of multiple vessels and ROVs, often working simultaneously on tasks including pipeline touch down monitoring, subsea asset positioning, and jumper metrology.
