Indonesia approves proposals for offshore gas field cluster

CALGARY, CanadaHusky Energy says it is advancing development work on four shallow-water gas fields in the Madura Strait offshore Indonesia, in which it has a 40% interest.

It has awarded a contract to build and lease an FPSO vessel to develop the liquids-richBD field. Construction of a wellhead platform and pipeline infrastructure is under way for the same project, with first gas set for 2017.

The partners in the MDA and MBH natural gas fields have received government approval and a gas sales agreement is under regulatory review. Government regulators approved a plan of development for the MDK natural gas field.

Offshore Newfoundland & Labrador, Husky says development drilling has started at theSouth White Rose field. First oil is due in mid-2015.

At North Amethyst, a well targeting the deeper Hibernia formation beneath the main field is expected to come online this summer.
