ABERDEEN, UK –Maritime Developments has added its bespoke 50-metric ton (55-ton) 4-track pipelay tensioner to its rental list.
The equipment design permits the 4-track tensioner to be used vertically, horizontally, or on a ramp. The design also allows for two of the tensioner’s tracks to open to load or unload the product (pipe) when in vertical mode.
The equipment is combined with the cylinder shell package and fail-safe hydraulic cylinders, and has accumulators built onto the track.
Two of the 50-metric ton units have been delivered to major energy clients since the product’s launch in May 2013.
