Lundin anticipates spring start-up for Bertam offshore Malaysia

Lundin Petroleum has allocated $35 million for exploration offshore Malaysia this year.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Lundin Petroleum has allocated $35 million for exploration offshore Malaysia this year.

The company intends to drill two operated wells on the PM307 concession and to commission a seismic survey on PM328.

Lundin expects itsBertam oil field to come onstream this spring, reaching plateau production later this year via a wellhead platform connected to an upgraded FPSO.

This year the company has budgeted capex of $180 million fordrilling and completion of 12 development wells and installation and hookup of the FPSO.
