Oyster set for stake in UK gas basin license

Oyster Petroleum has entered into a farm-in agreement for license P.2132 in the UK southern North Sea.

DORKING, UK – Oyster Petroleum has entered into a farm-in agreement for license P.2132 in the UK southern North Sea.

This covers blocks 16/11b and 16/16 in the South Viking Graben. The license is operated by Maersk Oil North Sea UK, in partnership with Centrica Resources.

The agreement would give Oyster a 30% interest in the license, which includes the Red Castle exploration prospect. A well here is scheduled for the second half of 2015.
