CALGARY, Canada – Canadian Overseas Petroleum has reaffirmed its commitment to completing work program obligations offshore Liberia for the LB 13 license.

ExxonMobil, which operates the production-sharing contract (PSC), is in regular discussions with state-owned NOCAL, COPL says. All exploration off Liberia has slowed following the country’s recent struggles with Ebola.

As part of the interaction process, the government of Liberia has provided its assurances that it will act under the terms of the PSC to provide NOCAL and ExxonMobil sufficient time to complete their work program, extending the current exploration period if necessary.
