Gulf of Suez oil wells go back online after workovers

CALGARY, CanadaSea Dragon Energy has issued an update on its field rehabilitation programs in the shallow-water Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt.

The company has completed a successful workover of the Shukheir Bay 5 well following a tubing leak. It has since returned to production at 233 b/d of oil.

Sea Dragon conducted another workover on the GA-1 well on the Gamma oil field, part of the sameShukeir Marine concession, to remove an obstruction in the tubing string. This well is now back online at 112 b/d, two and a half times the previous rate.

Over the offshore South Ramadan Concession, between the producing Ramadan and the Morgan oil fields, the company has completed reprocessing of 3D seismic and has started interpretation.
