EMGS clinches more Norway 3D EM data sales

Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has entered into a $10-million data licensing agreement to provide Statoil with 3D EM data from its multi-client (MC) data libraries in Norway.

TRONDHEIM, NorwayElectromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has entered into a $10-million data licensing agreement to provide Statoil with 3D EM data from its multi-client (MC) data libraries in Norway.

The package includes data of recent vintages and over various basins.

EMGS has MC data libraries covering 42,000 sq km (16,216 sq mi) in the Barents Sea, 10,000 sq km (3,861 sq mi) in theNorwegian Sea, and 1,400 sq km (540 sq mi) in the North Sea.

The company has also signed an $8-million agreement to supply an unnamed international oil company with 3D EM data from its Barents Sea library.
