TORONTO – CGX Energy says the new jackup HAKURYU-12 is expected to be completed by January.

Owner Japan Drilling Co. will use the rig to drill the Kabukalli prospect for CGX on the Corentyne block offshoreGuyana.

CGX CEO Dewi Jones said: “The Kabukalli-1 well will test the Upper Cretaceous geologic objectives to a TD of 4,502 m (14,770 ft) and is anticipated to take around 73 days to drill (including contingency measures).”
