Roc continues exploration campaign in Beibu Gulf

SYDNEY, Australia – Roc Oil says the jackup HYSY 935 has started drilling the second of two exploration wells in Beibu Gulf block 22/12 offshore China.

Well WZ12-10-2 targets the T42 and Weizhou formations, adjacent to theWZ12-8 West field in the WZ12-8 development area.

Total planned depth planned for the vertical well is 1,600 m (5,249 ft) MD/1,416 m (4,646 ft) TVD. The location is 1.6 km (1 mi) east-northeast from ROC’s existingBeibu 12-8W facilities, in a water depth of roughly 36 m (118 ft).
