HOUSTON –Weatherford International has licensed Ikon Science’s RokDoc RT software to support a global rig-based real-time pore pressure specialist team.
Pore pressure while drilling (PPwD) monitoring is growing, says Weatherford, as pore pressure related incidents account for more than 40% of all non-productive drilling time. The RokDoc RT system allows recalibration of the well plan to account for actual formation characteristics and boundaries as encountered during PPwD.
