PORT TALBOT, UK– Freudenberg Oil & Gas Technologies has opened its new 116,000-sq-ft (10,777-sq-m) UK facility in Port Talbot, Wales. Over the next few years, the Freudenberg Group plans to invest £11 million ($18 million) in the Port Talbot operation.
The first phase of the project has consolidated the three original Vector Technology Group sites in Wales into one. The Vector business was acquired by Freudenberg in January 2013, and a search for a new facility was started soon after. This move benefits the business with greater operational efficiencies, a significant investment in new CNC machining capabilities, and additional testing and R&D capabilities.
