Royal Dutch Shell resubmitted a draft plan to the Interior Department to explore for oil in the Alaskan Arctic, the New York Times reported. The proposed plan consists of two drilling rigs to explore the Chukchi Sea, either in 2015 or 2016.

The operator holds interest in three prospects: Burger (blocks 6714, 6764, 6912), SW Showebill (block 7007), and Crackerjack (block 6869) in the outer continental shelf in the Chukchi Sea.
