DTI to provide motion compensation packages for Chinese drillships

HOUSTON – After providing complete motion compensation packages for Opus Offshore’s Tiger I and Tiger II drillships, Drilling Technological Innovations LLC (DTI) has been awarded equivalent packages for the Tiger III and Tiger IV drillships.

The scope of supply includes sets of 200-k wireline tensioners and 800-k crown mounted compensators, as well as the DTI proprietary riser recoil valve systems. All systems will be designed and built from DTI’s headquarters and manufacturing facility in Houston.
