Vung Tau Rig Services will target local and international rig operators and owners in theSoutheast Asia region.
The two partners have been collaborating since 2012. Last year they completed two major rig upgrades.
To strengthen ties Semco Maritime moved office earlier this week to the PV Shipyard building.
Semco says around 25 rigs are operating in Vietnamese waters and access to upgrades in Vietnam will offer rig owners an alternative to relocating their rigs to Singapore for this work.
Vung Tau Rig Services has identified quay facilities that would eventually allow for upgrades of largerrigs.
