ABERDEEN, UK – Peak Well Systems has acquired an exclusive worldwide license from Xtreme Well Technology Ltd that grants Peak the right to use, develop, and commercialize the proprietary MetaPlex sealing technology for wellbore applications.
MetaPlex technology is hybrid metal-elastomer seal which Peak plans to commercialize with a range of high-pressure, V0-certified, downhole sealing systems.
Xtreme says the MetaPlex sealing element expands further than conventional V0 sealing technologies but retracts to a smaller-than-original outside diameter and offers a larger internal flow diameter than conventional V0 elastomeric seals.
